Our boutique is currently located in Exeter but our journey helping brides finding their dream dress started a long time ago….

Our History

There is an amazing history with Brides at Waterfields as it all started with a local lady, Sheila Rice, who established the business in 1992. I was very fortunate to have worked with Sheila before me and my mum took over as we have formed a wonderful relationship and she still comes to visit us to see the latest updates and styles coming in (and for a good natter).

My mum Heather still works behind the scenes and our lovely team has grown. Our whole team are the kindest ladies who are so passionate about our brides and our dresses.

Hundreds and hundreds of brides will have passed through our doors and we can’t wait to continue the amazing legacy of Waterfields.

Our Promise

As you can see from our reviews we do truly care about our brides and even after you leave our doors we are always available to chat and help with anything. We promise to look after you and as cheesy as it sounds, once you are a Waterfields bride you are always a Waterfields bride.

We love nothing more than when we receive your wedding photos and we will often make a coffee and sit and enjoy ALL of them!

    
 
 
       Had a session trying on wedding dresses with the lovely Harriet; she couldn't have taken better care of us. She picked beautiful dresses for me to try, including several that I loved that I would never have picked off the shelf myself. Lovely atmosphere and music, beautiful dresses, and plenty of space for friends to sit and relax. Thank you so much Harriet for the lovely experience!

      I bought my dress today at Waterfields and I can truly say it was a wonderful experience. Debs was so sweet and was absolutely fantastic at creating a lovely calm environment as I was nervous beforehand, I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment and left feeling so excited at having found my dress and having had such a good experience. Also their range of dresses were stunning! I would highly recommend!

      I would definitely recommend Brides at Waterfields after my amazing experience with them. I was quite anxious about dress shopping, but Debs made me feel so comfortable right away and I had the best time. All of the dresses are so beautiful and there’s a brilliant variety of styles and sizes to try on. It was the perfect space to try them on too, really pretty, comfortable and private which we really liked. I tried on a lot of dresses but didn’t feel rushed at all! I was pretty sure I had found ‘the one’ and Debs was brilliant in letting us go away for some lunch to think about it and squeezing us back in again later that day to try it on one more time. A huge thank you Debs, you made the whole experience so special!

      I went for my first appointment at BAW last week and had Harriet as my bridal Stylist and oh my goodness, she went over and beyond for me, she listened to everything that I wanted and honestly she found the most incredible dress. She was so accommodating and was so patient and made me feel so comfortable! This was my first ever bridal appointment and honestly I would recommend Harriet to anyone, she was honestly incredible.       What an amazing afternoon, Harriet was absolutely incredible and I couldn’t picture the day without her at all. I found the dress of my dreams and I know for a fact I couldn’t have done it without her guidance and support. Harriet should totally get a pay rise. Ohhhh Harriet we love you!

      After trying on over 20 dresses and just not feeling that wow moment my mum found Brides at Waterfields on Google and we got booked in for an appointment the same week. From the moment I stepped through the door Gemma made me feel so welcome and excited for the appointment. I lack self confidence but Gemma put me at ease the entire way through and I didn't feel rushed or pressured to like any of the dresses. She let me try on sleeves, different veils, hair pieces and even retry dresses to gauge how I felt in each. I didn't expect to find the one after previous disappointment but I truly believe that Gemma's knowledge and kindness added so much more to that special moment and I will forever be grateful. I look back on the photos and it's nothing but smiles. I wholeheartedly recommend brides at Waterfields not only to find your perfect dress but to also have such a wholesome interaction with the staff that makes the whole experience 10/10.
